Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the website at solvent.studio, or by commissioning film and production work from Solvent Studio (“Solvent”, “we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any production contract or Statement of Work (“SOW”) executed between the parties.

2. Production Services

Solvent provides documentary, commercial, brand film, and post-production services. All deliverables, schedules, milestones, and project fees are defined in the relevant Statement of Work.

Work commences upon mutual approval of the project brief, agreed milestones, and deposit confirmation.

3. Intellectual Property and Rights

Unless otherwise specified in a custom agreement:

• Final Deliverables: Upon receipt of full payment, clients receive the agreed commercial usage licence for completed cut films.
• Production Materials: Raw footage, unreleased project files, and proprietary production workflows remain the property of Solvent Studio unless explicitly assigned in writing.
• Portfolio Display: Solvent retains the standard professional right to display completed public work in portfolio reels, case studies, and studio archives.

4. Payment Terms

Invoices are issued in GBP or EUR according to the schedule set out in the Statement of Work, typically structured around discovery, principal photography, and final cut delivery. Standard payment terms are 30 days from invoice date.

5. Limitation of Liability

Solvent will carry out all services with professional care and skill. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in England and Wales, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to any project shall be limited to the total fees paid by the client under the applicable Statement of Work.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
